Success Story: Alumnus Sereen Kurdi enjoys success as Aquavit earns first Michelin Star

One of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts’ first graduates, Sereen Kurdi, who went on to continue her education at our affiliate school in Chicago, Kendall College, landed a job in one of New York City’s best up & coming restaurants upon completing her bachelor’s degree with honors in the culinary arts.

Less than a year of being part of the young and dedicated team at Aquavit that specializes in Nordic cuisine and is renowned for staying true to traditional dishes yet experiments with new techniques and modern takes on seasonal ingredients , the restaurant just earned its first Michelin Star and is now on the map of places to visit in one of the world’s most exciting culinary destinations.
